Cold Pressed is Best

Cold Pressed oils come from plants, fruits and nuts. Cold pressing produces high quality oils and doesn't involve the use of solvents during the extraction process. Solvent residue affects the quality of the oils and generally causes skin irritations. Cold pressed oils contain a varying array of skin enhancing qualities and properties as well as vitamins, minerals and fatty acids- all of which are essential for a healthy, balanced skin. Our natural skin care formulations include the most beneficial cold pressed oils according to the needs of the skin that each is designed to be used on.

Say No to Mineral Oils

Many cosmetic formulations include mineral oils; you will find none in any of our all natural skin care products. Mineral oil is cheap and therefore yields a higher profit for companies but the fact remains that it is suffocating and comedogenic to the skin. Yes, it may provide a covering to prevent moisture loss from the skin but there are many cold pressed oils that can render this assistance without the destructive outcome that mineral oils provide.

Emulsifying Wax is a better blender

A necessary component to blend oil and water phases together in a mixture without allowing them to separate. Emulsifying wax also imparts moisturizing properties of its own, providing the skin with a silky smooth feel. We use a naturally derived emulsifier, SAM-E, to blend together our oil and water phases and deliver moisturizing qualities.

Colourful Cleansing Clays

There are many various types of clays available for use as natural skin care ingredients, each with their own properties and degree of cleansing ability. Some are more active than others and so suitable to different skin types. The inclusion of clays in our womens skin care products and collection of mens skin care products aids in cleansing and removing pollutants from the skins surface, as well as assisting the removal of dead skin cells. This provides a deeper cleanse and a smoother appearance of the skin whilst imparting the unique activity of each individual clay. Our choice of clay in each product is based on their known properties and their suitability to a skin type and/or condition.
